Adesso - winter wheat
Adesso is a high premium awned wheat variety which was registered by the Austrian agency for food safety in December 2011 and classified in the baking quality group 8. Adesso is a crossing of Astardo with the German E-variety Altos. The yield potential is -5% in comparison to Midas (group 7), but the protein content is more than 1.0% higher.
Adesso is a variety of medium height with good stem stability. Its maturity is 1 of 2 days earlier than Midas and one day later than Balaton. Adesso shows very good winter hardiness and average sprouting resistance. The resistance against powdery mildew are on a good level, but Adesso is more sensitive against yellow leaf rust. High protein content, high gluten content, high and stable hectoliter weight and good dough parameters characterize the baking quality of Adesso. So it is classified in group 8 (German: E+).
Sowing quantity: 130 - 170kg/ha.
